everyone rejoice! been seeing an increasing number of rapid fire mods in H4. seem to see at least 1 every 5 games or so.
Really? Because they only time I see any “rapid” fire is lag induced.
Seriously peeps, MS are actively watching for modded consoles online PARTICULARY in Halo 4. If you dont believe me go visit the xbox forums and take a look in the bans section. The chances of you actualy running in to a modder online are extremely slim, the chances of you running in to multiple modders is lower than winning the lottery.

Rapid fire is not console modding. And is pretty much impossible to detect.

umm…no
rapid fire modders are nearly impossible for xbox to find and ban. remember how many there were in H3? it’s not a modded xbox it’s a modded controller. and with kill cams in slayer its blatantly obvious when you see someone who’s rapid fire modding. and it has nothing to do with lag.
Is there any advantage for any weapon with modded controller? I’m pretty sure every weapon’s RoF cap can be reached easily without turbo-fire.
What benefit does rapid fire modding have in Halo, exactly? All of the precision weapons can be fired at their maximum rate very easily. Rapid fire wouldn’t really affect the automatic weapons.
I don’t really know why it would be useful in Halo.
uhhh okay?

that seems bad, why is that any reason to rejoice

What a great and useful post! Thank you!
Wow, this game keeps getting better and better doesn’t it?

Which is what I was talking about. It was my understanding that weapons all now have RoF cap that simply cant be exceeded without modding the console. Changing the weapon stats and RoF cap would allow for rapid fire.
Other than that lag induces quiet a number of apparent rapid firing incidents. Plus I myself am pretty damn fast on the trigger anyway with pistols and the like from years of practice and I have a fairly good aim. I’ll bet a number of people playing me have thought I was rapid fire modding or even aimboting with the amount of HS I tend to get.
it most certainly increases the rate of fire. the only weapon i see people using a rapid fire mod on is the BR. and they can fire 4 to 5 burst fire rounds in the same time i can fire once or twice firing as fast as possible. really would be pretty worthless with any other weapon especially an automatic weapon. but rapid fire modding the BR is insanely powerful from what i’ve seen.

Consecutively firing an assault rifle bullet by bullet will not make the redial bloom nearly as fast for start. Being able to fire a weapon accurately without disadvantage will allow anyone with that power to out shoot two Spartans using the same gun. Rapid fire Boltshot would have advantage as well as any weapon that can fire at higher rates of fire like the carbine. Just imagine firing a full clip of carbine into an enemies head without missing a single shot. Carbine seven and one to the head so eight in total. Thats about the size of it.

Its hard to prove. Maybe you should play matchmaking more?

Not according to the OP. In his view is obvious on the BR, therfor he should put up a video of it happening to prove his point. Otherwise its just conjecture, and flies in the face of the RoF cap.
If you want proof they exsist. Goto amazon.com and search for xbox 360 controller.
Theres dozens of modded controllers with rapid fire on there for sale.

And developers got wise to it while ago and instigated RoF caps on weapons to nullify rapid fire pads. In some titles attempting to go above the RoF cap with a pad will cause it to infact be slower, as hitting the cap puts in an automatic delay per shot for each shot reaching the cap.
