I’m sure this is an old topic, but it’s at an epidemic level and has taken the fun out of multiplayer. I’ve more than held my own against these rapid fire cheaters, but is anyone else out there sick of this?
I don’t really know anything about this and didn’t realise it was a problem. I thought these things didn’t really work in Halo?

I remember someone saying that rapid firing can’t occur in Halo 4 because each gun has a set fire rate? Quote me if I’m wrong.
Any objective proof of this so-called “epidemic”? I haven’t noticed anything of the sort.
> I don’t really know anything about this and didn’t realise it was a problem.
…because you didn’t know anything about it?
No it isn’t, I can hit the cap just fine on the Carbine. The gun just doesn’t do enough damage for it to specatcualar enough for players to spectate if others are using rapid fire controllers.
Anyway, I’ve never heard of this issue in a Halo game. The guns themselves wouldn’t benefit from modded controller use anyway.
Yes, its a shame that people can’t fair.
However I can still own them 1v1.
Just google “modded controllers” or “rapid fire controllers” if you think this is a farce
It’s actually not a problem at all…
Weapons in Halo have a set firing rate that isn’t out of control. Everyone can easily achieve this without any effort. The reason why rapid fire controllers are more useful I COD than in Halo is that the headshot in Halo is important, whereas body shots are aimed for in COD. Thus, in Halo, you tend to slow your last shot to land the headshot, making rapid fire completely useless. It IS possible to shoot too fast in this game and cause yourself to make your killtime longer.
LOL Tim!

we know what they are
we just never have seen them in halo 4

Halos ROF is slow to the point where rapid fire is borderline useless. The fully auto guns in Halo may be affected though. I do seem to get killed by all the fully autos extremely fast on some occasions. I’m not sure how the fully autos work in Halo though. I don’t use them so I don’t know if bursting them helps their accuracy. If that is the case then yes, modded controllers could be a problem. As far as I know though they don’t affect anything.

You may have not seen them, but apparently Tim owns one.

How cheap…

who’s Tim?
Nope, I play fair.
I still lose 1v2… battles.
How in the world could a rapid fire controller help in Halo 4? Reaching the fastest firing rate with a normal Xbox controller is crazy easy to do, to the point that it’s strange to even mention that you’re able to do it. Rapid fire controllers do not give you any advantage at all in Halo. Someone with a rapid fire controller set on it’s highest settings, can still only fire as fast as any average… hell, any below average player can pull the trigger. This is not something to concern yourself over.
So yea, if anyone wants to use a rapid fire controller in Halo, that’s A-okay with me! They will preform exactly the same as a normal out of the box microsoft brand Xbox 360 controller.
just youtubed this and I don’t think its of any concern. I guess in order to say if this is true I would need to actually go into a forge world and test it out and watch the video at the same time. Really though the amount of these controllers in use playing halo 4 if they do make a difference I don’t imagine it would be that often you came across one.
If 4 is the same as reach in this aspect then the modded controllers won’t effect a damn weapon besides plasma pistol,
They are not and never have been a problem in Halo.
