Because I’m tired of seeing the same thread over again, I decided the angry/frustrated Halo fans unhappy with 343 needed a place to vent, so I made this thread. Rant or vent about whatever you want, it’s all good here. Discuss other peoples rage, do whatever. It’s that simple.

Alright, the CTF changes are stupid, unneeded, and the arguments that support make no sense because they say the same thing without valid reasons to back them up. Magnum can stay, it doesn’t help or hinder. But auto-pick up AND inability to drop are problems. You don’t need to get rid of both, just get rid of one of them. “If you are going for the flag stay away from it” No, I’ll get as close as I want. It’s no fun when one part of the map has to be avoided like the plague because of the flag death trap. If the changes won’t go, atleast put traditional CTF along with it.
AAs are unnecessary.
Perks are unnecessary.
Sprint is unnecessary but makes the most sense.
Customizable load out are unnecessary.
All I want from classic is objective and slayer, I’m not asking for a classic counterpart for everything.
I don’t understand why people are against classic playlists, it seems selfish that we can’t both have something we want.
And that is my rant in a neat little package.

On topic. 343i had said before that there will be vanilla playlists where slayer will but just straight up slayer. I could be wrong but thats what I remember.

The only thing that bugs me is auto pick up of the flag, But the can’t drop the flag is a genius idea. Is was kinda stupid how people took advantage of the flag by planting it somewhere and camping it. Or this. “Flag taken flag dropped flag taken flag dropped flag taken flag dropped flagg taken flag dropped so on and so fourth”. Everything else is fine by me. I dont care, I actually like most of the ideas and things 343i has put into Halo 4
Why can’t there just be an option to mute the announcer and hide the text in the center of the screen?
I know it’s supposed to “fade away” after playing for a while, but I’m really concerned this will damage my ability to immerse in the game. The announcements and medal system is a lot different to previous Halos, and I don’t think I like the changes so far
i agree with loopy…people…get over it. changes will be made for better or for worst and the one im hearing the most is “CTF IS RUINED”…I would be deeply appreciative if you would refrain from speaking. its not ruined and welcome change. END

Most of the changes like that are for all the people that havent played a Halo game before, The medals are supposed to make thme feel good about themselves and to make them keep playing. Personally more medals mean easier Ranking. That’s just my opinon. But the announcer isn’t really that bad. He makes people feel like “fine if I do this will you shut up?” You know? So creates more team based gameplay without all the lonewolves who only want kills

Alright, I respect your opinion, but level with me for a sec. The problems people had with CTF are fixed. There’s no need to juggle. There’s no really no need to drop the flag to defend yourself. You don’t have to risk picking a weapon up instead of the flag. But why can’t we drop it? Why does it have to be announced? If you pay attention you can see the waypoint popping up when it’s dropped. Strategic flag passes now are obsolete. Like I said, I respect your opinion, but atleast see my perspective.

The pre-orders and their availability. I read that they MAY become available in the most recent bulletin. It was also stated that some items would stay exclusive such as some retailer content and FOTUS.
FOTUS I am fine with. Let the LE and Console content stay exclusive, but not any of the pre-order content. I shouldn’t have to buy 6 or so copies to get all of that sweet sweet armor content.
I can only hope that all pre-order content (armor and emblems) become available at one point. This includes the retailer exclusive Deadeye and Locus helmets as well.
Why did they cater to people who don’t know how and don’t use automatics and made them only slightly useful at short range!?

Have you never played another Halo game? The flag has always had an arrow over it so people know where it is at. And the announcer has always announced that the flag was stolen, dropped, taken, reset, Whatever.If you can’t drop the flag that mean you are the flag carrier. Now your team has to work with you to defend you. Now people might say but hey why would people help each other to win where are my kills? you want kills play Slayer or Regicide. If you want to win to get more Exp/Crdt to rank up. Then you will help echother and win. I think it’s a great idea. Sick of all the people who only want kills

I believe only the Fotus armor like you said will stay exclusive, Fine by me. And everyone else at a undisclosed date will be able to buy the other items for a set ammount of microsoft points. Now that’s fine by me, I preordered my LE copy, And i get my preorder bonus for free, and my other items at a discounted price. Fine by me
