Honestly, I remember when Halo had a decent community. Ever since 343i came along, it feels like well… Crap. I’m not saying “OHHHH 343iWUINEDHALO2K142K15” No, i’m not. I think 343i has done a fantastic job with Halo, but now the community? I can barely find anyone good anymore, sure there are some good people on Waypoint, but the rest? No. It’s all praising Bungie for the series, and while yes Bungie has done it well, 343i did it better. The community though, sends poor Josh Holmes and Frankie death threats, and probably the same for Bonnie Ross. Honestly, WTF is with you guys? I mean, the community was going so well and then when 343i starts making things better, you guys scream at Bungie to come back. It’s getting really sad. Who here agrees that the Halo community is just well… dying? Do you think Halo 5 or Halo Wars 2 will fix the broken community? What are your thoughts? I honestly think that it’s dying due to the excessive Bungie fanboys who scream for Bungie to come back, then say that Halo 5 is not a “real game” (despite it having new mechanics like in Halo 2 and Halo 3)
It’s just squeaky wheel syndrome. There are still plenty of reasonable and enthusiastic Halo fans out there, but you’re not seeing so much of them at the moment because the current Halo title is several years old, the Halo xbox one experiment was a disaster, and we’re still a few months away from the cool new toy that’s waiting in a box under the tree. Be patient. Have faith. All will be well come October.
