Rant - Quitters

I understand that people got real-life situations to deal with. But there is other reasons why people quit.

I play games that are even and full. I don’t play 1v8 games, or 4v8. People seem to quit because they don’t get what they want, or because they didn’t like the map they were playing. If the game supports 12 players, then I need to play with 12 players.

This gets really frustrating, and since people on halo have serious mental issues, I’ve been matched with quitters almost everyday.

Now it’s understandable if you got disconnected. I was randomly disconnected while playing an infection game yesterday for no reason. It’s also understandable if your idiotic family member forced you off the xbox, or your power went out. But it makes no sense to quit because you didn’t get the map or game you want. There’s some games I want to play, but if that doesn’t get voted for, then I will have to deal with it.

However, there is some good reasons to quit such as griefters, idlers, mic-spammers, alcoholic children, etc. But most of it is because of the map and game.

I like in CoD how if people quit they are replaced by someone else. I play with a group most of the time and quiter can really ruin the game for us. BtB and invasion seems to be the worst for quiters. I think big jackpots should be given to players who finish 15+ games in a row. If you quit, drop or dashboard you don’t get the bonus.

In alpha zombies, if an alpha zombie quits and forces me to be a zombie. I will rage quit. I have no problem being spawned as a zombie initially, though.

I don’t quit when my team is a man down (or two in Invasion, or three in BTB) but it depends on my opponents whether or not I quit once I’m alone. If they’re being jerks by hurling around insults and constant tea-bagging, I’ll quit - unless they want me to quit. In that case I’ll happily stay and hide, trying to let the game timer run out. And on occasion I got my opponents so fed up that THEY quit. extremely evil grin

But if people are OK, I’ll stay and play to the best of my abilities. I won’t hide but try to get kills in slayer and even go for the objective if there is one.

There are other situations where I quit, but those are rare. At least they used to be. They seem to come up more often recently, like my team mate and his two guests going on suicide sprees.

I mean, I played team slayer a while back and my team mate kept betraying his two AFK guests. That’s all he did. And since he betrayed himself, so to speak, there was no way for me to boot him.

Unfortunately it seems that I’m attracting those people. I must be cursed or something…

the dude, i feel ya, i always get the afkers though, and it drives me nut when they dont do anything

Yeah.

I am sick of playing with a team that is short one or more players because one of the poor babies didn’t get what they want.

If I play a match where there is supposed to be 8 players on each team, I WILL have 8 players on my team. If I don’t have 8 players on my team, I will avoid the player that quit the match.

I know I hate rage-quitters with a passion. I’m talking about the ones who get pissed off and quite because they are getting wasted. It’s like, yeah I’m getting my @$$ handed to me too, but you’ll never get better at the game unless you stick around and at least try to learn how to deal with it.

I liked how in Halo CE we could change teams if the teams were unbalanced. If the teams are unbalanced, the game (upon a respawn) should dialog random players asking if they would like to switch teams, until someone says yes, or the game runs out of players to ask.

I LOOOOOOVVVEE THIS IDEA!!! we gotta get this done. everyone in favor for this idea say aye on this post  AYE!!

In Halo2 they had the option to "force even teams"basically on respawn if the playing field had even team you would have to wait til someone died if you were on the bigger team. Most of the time you would only wait an extra 5-10 sec.

if i am going up against a full party of reclaimers/inheriters in BTB while i am paired up with a bunch of Warrent officers. I am going to quit.

if i have to play hemmoRAGE for the 4th time in a row. i am going to quit.

if half my “teamates” quit, i am going to quit.

deal with it

Yeah what the “f” is with hemmerage. That map sucks. I can’t wait til we get some good BTB maps.

I have to deal with this everyday.

me and my friend play multi team alot and EVERY time we play its the same thing… all the other teams quit and theres only 2 people to kill on different teams we quit because its boring and we have 8 minutes left. They should do what cod did when someone quits someone can join.

They’ve tried penalties for quitting and that failed. How about making it so people can quit without adversely affecting the match- let people quit before the map starts and fill the teams/games so people who don’t want to play hemmorhage yet again can leave. Team rebalancing would help- an 8x4 match would be rebalanced to 6x6, and if the people didn’t like getting switched they can quit, making it rebalanced to 5-5 and so on in BTB. I wouldn’t have rebalanced games count as w/l matches for people who get pushed into new teams or join mid-match, though once the game has been tied then it should count.

i quit only when i have been cheated by some other players poor connection. all the time in infection, the kids with the bad connections seem to just warp right through my shotgun blasts -.- only to die seconds later themselves. dedicated servers wouldve fixed/prevented this kinda thing. also people say play for fun, but all those hypocrites know that fun and winning usually go hand in hand. if im in a game of infection, and i have a chance to pull a head of the leader in the second round and get killed by mr lag, only to be a zombie the very next round… screw that! i will not deal with someone elses 3rd world connection. this is a modern age, and if your internet isnt fast enough to run flash animations you shouldnt be on an xbox. so yeah im going to quit, cause my quitting aint harming the experience any more than the poor people who cant afford decent internet -.-

If I play a game of infection and start off as a zombie, I have no problem playing. However if i constantly spawn as a zombie for more than 2 rounds, i will afk for the rest of the match or rage quit. If I am put on a team where I don’t die once and the score is already 10+ in their favor, I will quit just on principal. But the most reasonable reasons why I will quit will be because someone else quit and reach game play and stages aren’t designed for the 3v4 or 2v4 or even 1v4 like the previous Halo’s, everywhere you go there is a huge open area where lucky “Team DMR” is suppose to take place and by missing just one person, the pace is ruined and you leave yourself for a waste of 10 minutes of just getting killed over and over again, whereby the opposing team is just ranking up a high score and you are messing your score by just spawning. So yeah, if you ask why a someone quit, they quit because “Playing” is a losing game is a waste of time, energy and score. If it makes you feel better blame Bungie for designing such stages that destroy the individual (remember when MVP meant something?) and 343 for matchmaking you with people (in reference to the imbalance in matchmaking with lower tiers playing with and against higher tiers).

You know, black ops has more mature players than this. Yet, Halo: Reach is so full of careless losers who seem to have a desire to play certain games.

They need a longer quit ban penalty. I’ve been in 3 games that got worse by 5 idiotic quitters that don’t have a freaking life and want to ruin the game for me, their team and MY team. I’ve had it with this.
