Ok wtf, I win 9/10 of my placement matches and get put platinum 5. In SWAT I win 8/10 and get placed Platinum 2. I thought this game was counting wins as your placement. I expected to at least get onyx or Diamond. Anyone else have this problem?
i went 9-1 in my SWAT placements and got Plat 3, all while putting up monster numbers. It’s not just your win/loss unfortunately it’s also based upon who you play against. I played against gold/plat ppl during all my placements and stomped them. Just because the system refused to match me up against diamond/onyx people then i get a lower rank. That part of the system is dumb, the fact that I absolutely trashed everyone in my placements should easily put me in at least diamond but w.e.
Snip3down placed in Platinum for SWAT as well so I wouldn’t feel too bad. I think there is something wonky going on with SWATs rank distribution.
People think that you still get placed in onyx straight of the bat. They told you that their previous ranking system had some flaws. You are supposed to work your way up the ladder, not be placed on the final step…
Why are you even complaining? If you get underplaced that would mean you can stomp other people.

Stomping isn’t good; If you play -Yoink- players, your skills will degrade, not get better.
Same here OP; Me and my team were playing SWAT. We won 9 of 10 placement matches, one we lost 50-35 (Enemy team had diamonds, including a diamond 6, so this one is somewhat more reasonable. We’d played a tonne of golds and plats before so fair enough, we weren’t properly in it) All others we won by a massive margin (I think the biggest was like 50-9 or something like that, and the smallest was around 50-23). One got placed Plat 3, another Plat 2, I got Gold 6, other guy got Gold 6 too.
Its not good; Its going to be absolutely horrible for the other people we play against at gold and plat level because they’re going to get stomped, and its going to be bad for us because we’ll get used to playing bad people.
Why would it be fair for a player to get onyx for winning against gold and platinum players? Keep playing and eventually you will start playing higher levels leveling up as well. How can you expect to get a high rank in 10 games? . Even in halo 3 at ten games wining you would probably be at around level 30 if that.

It’s not my fault that the game refused to put me up with good people. I usually play people of Onyx. But the game decided to give me a nothing but Platinum and maybe diamond players.

Well if you keep playing and leveling up you will play higher levels and possibly level up as well.
