A ranking system would be nice.
I think we should start being a little more mature about it guys.
We’re reacting just as 343 had envisioned.
In the stream with David Ellis he stated that there is “currently” no ranking system implemented in Halo 4. I already beleive we will have a patch day one anyway.
Frankie posted this on neoGAF about two days ago. Most of it has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Just the last sentence:
“Stores have strict date contracts including a big orange seal they have to break. imagine a movie theater doing this, only worse because we have services we’re still fiddling with.”
Hmmmm, what “services” have they really got left to fiddle with. Apart from some form of ranking system. I think Frankie was trying to avoid the -Yoink- storm that has happened on Waypoint today. If the game leaked excessively early and people were on MM and there was no ranking, exactly what has happened today would be the result.
Which I beleive is why Microsoft is banning everyone with such hostility. Apart from Campaign spoilers, this -Yoink- storm was bound to happen of too much MM info got out, including the fact that there won’t be a ranking system on launch day until they have finished with it and released a patch.
I’d also like to add that many playlists have been left out.
Two which have definitely been confirmed:
Team Snipers
Team Swat
Also (Non confirmed):
Team Doubles
MLG
FFA
Now considering these playlists habe been typically part of the “Ranked” group. This even further my suspicion that we may have a post release patch, which could possibly include the ranking system.
So guys, you call yourselves competitive players, let’s not tarnish our reputation even more. Just relax, chill out. If Halo 4 fails us. Lets move on. But the game ain’t even out yet.
