So apparently there’s been new info released about Halo 4’s ranking system and how our “Rank” will be hidden. We should take note that this info comes from someone on the Halo Council forums…If you trust this info be my guest, but all im saying is that this may not be 100% and if it is indeed true then it may not even be final. In a recent video we see Franky ranking up to (A-7). Here’s the Link. At around 0.30 Link
So if ranks ARE “hidden” why is franky’s rank being shown??? I honestly think there is more to this ranking system other than ranks are hidden. I just don’t see ranks being Hidden. This is said to stop the amount of boosting and cheating, but either way people will want to cheat to reach that higher rank. Just because its only visible to US doesnt mean the incentive to not Boost wont be there. Please keep this thread alive guys, as a community I think we all want a SKILL Ranking system back, So lets make sure 343 knows this. Thanks.

I wouldn’t really care either way.
I dont know, unlike some people on these forums I dont care that randoms cant see my shiny rank anymore. I just care if the ranking system will actually work well and span multiple play-lists and be attractive enough to the players so it isnt a Ghost town like Arena is in Reach. You can call it hypocrisy by 343i seeing as how experience ranks will be visible, but whatever as long as me and my friends can share what our ranks are I dont really mind.

I’m indifferent as long as I get matched up with people at my skill level (which is to say, people that also suck).

In all fairness, 343i has done very well to play the “psyche!” game.
PV you can’t see through walls . . . PSYCHE!
Mods are not perks . . . PSYCHE!
Power weapons are not in loadouts . . . PSYCHE!
So maybe, just maybe, this is a lie too . . .

From the link, it looks like some random person got on and said he talked to Frankie, which just so you know, is like me getting online and saying “I just got off the phone with a Xbox LIVE Customer Service Rep, and she said that there is going to be a PC version of Halo 4”

The ranking system has not been announced yet. They’re only testing this one out.
