Did my ranking for team arena, won 70% still only got ranked gold 5. Fairly annoying
Its a common complaint. Look on the bright side though, that means you should be ranked with other ‘gold’ players and if you are better than them and are playing at an Onyx level then you will rank up quickly with the right team.
I had that happen with Breakout and got Bronze 6. I was really really confused but played it up and got to Gold 6 before I needed a break from breakout. Just have fun with it
I down ranked from Gold 1 to Silver 3 this latest update… just gives me a reason to keep playing! I want to be back in Gold… and if I’m good enough I will get there. I’m already up to Silver 4 after like 2 games, better than staying stagnant in Gold 1 like I did for the Feb. Season.
You might as well not worry about rank in this game, nobody understands it.
For your initial 10 games, your ranking does not only go from winning but also individual performance and the quality of your opponents.

Doesn’t really matter. Golds and Silvers get matched with Platinums and Diamonds, as well as Onyx many times.
No matter what rank you are, you’ll never purely be matched up with the same ranked people.

I have never played a silver or a bronze in my life so that is false.

No it’s not nice, teams are much less reliable and it’s near impossible to find players that use mic. My goal is diamond this month but it’s prety hard unless you create your own fire team and I don’t know a lot of players online.

I’m in the same boat. I enjoy going lone wolf, it has never failed me in other Halo games, but since I usually carry my team, I find myself going up against teams who are actually coordinating, and I can only carry so much. I usually go against diamonds and onyx, but yet I’m stuck on plat because I’m just naturally a solo player. I play best that way(unless I’m playing Team Doubles). It kind of sucks that I won’t ever raise to diamond or onyx, purely because I don’t have a team. And that’s where the problem lies. The problem is that matchmaking doesn’t consider fireteam size. I’m likely not matched with other solo players, so I’m punished for being a solo player in nature. Very aggravating at times.

ya i had those near the beginning of slayer or we clutched but my other half of placement matches with randoms was disastrous to say the least
Be glad you’re a lower rank so you don’t have to sweat every game. I face full Onyx Squads and Champions with boosters every game, every playlist is miserable.
