Anyone else have a problem with the ranking system? I feel like it’s kinda bogus that you rank up after 1 win and then if you get kicked from the game you lose your rank and go down 50-75% of your rank you’re at. It’s a huge bother. And if you go 18-3 KD and your team loses you rank down. What is up with that. Can’t always be a backpack for my team and if we lose I rank down due to a loss
I’ve played swag before and have done so good even though I lost it didn’t effect my rank. But I went like 30-9.
Other than free for all, ranking up is based on wins. I believe they also give you rank in the game so that if you are in top 3 or 4 in performance, you can keep your rank from falling fast. I agree, it sucks to get 15-20 kills in a game just to be matched with two guys who combine 10 for 30. Definitely not designed for solo play anymore.

Halo is a team game, so it makes sense that it’s based on winning or losing…

I have had an issue with the random kicks mid game but I reported the times it happened to me in the support forum because I got ranked down so hard and it hasn’t happened since. I just try and get a full fireteam for the other issue you are talking about.
completely agree with the original statement, its so annoying to get so far and then lose out on your efforts for what could be a bad network connection.
The system is garbage. And the division placement matches rely too much on you matching the right people. I ranked plat 1 in ffa having only seen golds and one plat match and then had to play many tens of matches to rank up to my current diamond 3. You should match the entire range in placement matches or it is unfair. Whereas i barely played lower than plat in breakout and so got a plat 1 that was undeserved as i am prob silver at best at it.
And the system for swat is garbage. I have seen stats that suggest onyx players are rarer than the dodo.
