Ranking system

I’ve said it a million times before but the ranking system in H5 is terrible. First of all ranking up or down based solely on wins and losses is pretty ridiculous though I know many people like it. When you are solo cueing you have no control over who your teammates are. You can get matched with bad players and lose despite you playing really well. How is that a reflection of skill? I know a lot of people will say “just don’t solo cue” but I really don’t think that is a good solution. Not everyone knows a bunch of people who play halo.

But even with the ranking system based only on wins and losses I find it insane that in my last 28 games I won exactly half of them ( 14 wins, 14 losses) and I went from halfway through diamond 4 down to near the bottom of diamond 1??!?! How in the world does it make any sense to rank down 3+ ranks with a 50% win rate??

I doubt the ranking system will be changed in H5 but I sincerely hope they can come up with something better for Infinite.

Yes, indeed. That said, is very common to find someone who has a high csr and do not deserve it in any way. People getting carried in games is product of that win/loss ranking system.

Supposedly the CSR values both W/L ratio and KDA, but frankly I’ve seen no evidence of it. For example, I’m D4 in SWAT and I have a 62% win rating (higher than most champs I’ve played with) and a 2.9 KDA (1.26 natural K/D). I very VERY rarely go negative in games, but also don’t go explosively great in many either. The crap part is I’ve played against SO MANY onyx players who do worse than me, but they rank up when we win and I stay still. It doesn’t make sense.
