I know someone has posted this already, but can someone tell me how the ranking system works in Halo 5?

This doesn’t make sense to me, so I understand you play a certain amount of games and then you are put into a tier, is it only based on wins and losses and if you win games but your teammates are getting dumped on do they still move up with you or if you lose games and dominate the other team do you get put into a lower tier? Also, do they reset like in halo reach after a certain time period? If I am missing how it works someone help me out.
Also, does this mean I can’t play with friends that may be in a higher or lower tier as well?

lol just think about your question. Let’s pretend that what you said was true, do you know how Many ppl wouldn’t even play this game. It would be an epic failure. Oh and the ranking system is fairly east to understand btw.

Ha that’s what I was thinking, then what’s the point of the tier system and tell me cause I must be an idiot then cause it doesn’t make sense, it seems just like Halo reach.
Isn’t the Ranks and tiers just a visual representation of the normal CSR? It’s not like Halo Reach because this is completely separate from the experience ranking system and playlist specific. If you win, CSR goes up. If you lose, CSR goes down. Victories and losses against people with high CSRs (relative to yours) result in higher gains and less decrease respectively. Victories and losses against people with low CSRs (relative to yours) result in less gain and greater decrease respectively. I’m not really sure but I think MVPs get a greater increase if victorious and less decrease if defeated. Otherwise, your team will not affect your CSR at all. When matchmaking, you will be matched to people of similar rank. This balances out across the entire team. So a team of pros will face another team of pros. A mix will either face another mix or a team full of middle ranks. Of course, this system will only balance out with a large population and is unlikely to fare well in the preview beta.
