Hey everyone, I’m quite confused on how the ranking system is set up. Back almost a year ago I got Halo 5 when I was down range, and played it a lot. I ranked Diamond and Onyx in most gamemodes besides Arena which was plat 5 or so. I then got back, and someone stole my xbox, ps4, and all my games/accessories etc. Anyway, I’m just now getting a new xbox and Halo 5. I just got ranked in about everything, and I’m now gold/plat in most of it, and now I go 20+ in most games because of it. Occasionally I’ll only get 15+, but still, shouldn’t I be higher like I was prior? Has the ranking system changed at all? Does it just give you gold, and you have to play to rank back up now or what?
I get the impression there is a lot of emphasis on a long grind for ranking up.
Mainy its because of your cumulative CSR. The ranking system takes into account of your previous seasons so from my guess is that the system sees your cumulative CSR to be quite low because you havent played it for a long time. Maybe thats why its placed you in gold.
Also if you are talking about the ranks when the game started… i think everyone got high ranks like diamond and onyx during placements
The ranking system seems to mostly depend on whether you win games or not. You can got +15 and lose and your rank will go down. They need to just bring back the Halo 3 ranking system, was perfect.

SWAT was out of whack and was readjusted after the Pre-Season for a more strict placing.
