Ranking System questions.

Alright can someone tell me if this is fair or not: Me and my friend were playing Doubles. At the time we were both ranked i took a photo of the stats.
I got 9/10 games, 8.3 KDA, and 51.9% accuracy. I was ranked GOLD 4
He got 10/10 games, 8.2 KDA and 44.2% accuracy. He was ranked DIAMOND 4.
I don’t believe this is fair just by losing one game you shouldn’t go down to Gold, and i also had a better KDA and accuracy which makes this even more confusing.
Also sorry i just noticed I posted it in Pole not Discussion.

Seasonal rankings are based off of previous seasons, win/loss ratio, and the ranking of your enemies, and ignores personal statistics. During the August 2016 season, you went unranked in Doubles, and had a W/L of 33%. Fall 2016 had you were also unranked, with a W/L of 0%. From your ranking matches that I can see, your opponents tended to be within the Gold-Platinum range, with some some exceptions. As a result, I think it would place you within that Gold-Platinum range (which it did). Now, looking at your friend’s stats (who I am assuming is FuxCANehDIAN), he/she has not ranked in seasons prior to this one, which may affect his ranking, since the game doesn’t have previous statistics to work off of. I’m not sure this can necessarily be said to be unfair, as having a lower W/L is definitely going to affect your final ranking, but I can’t quite say that it is, because such a large gap seems odd.

Keep playing and you should start going up (if you win). I have to say I’m not a fan of the current system but it does seem to make sense to me.

Thankyou for clearing this up!
