Noticed a lot of players with Onyx 2 and Onyx 3, and some semi pros. My team has beaten all of them during the 10 game assessment period, but for some reason everyone else on my team got onyx and I was only “ranked” silver 2. We played the same matches, very similar stats(could be argued I played better). I know it’s supposed to follow the LoL ranking system, per say, but seems pretty dumb a lot of really bad kids are higher ranked and I’m in the lower tiers.

They were probably in the pre-beta and got that higher rank from playing and winning against other people. With a larger population their ranks will go down so long as they keep loosing so don’t worry about that.
Personally is like to see only bronze silver gold awarded to a player & over time good players will climb & less skilled players will drop
makes sense as to why some people have onyx and stuff already, but doesn’t explain why my buddies got onyx and I got silver since we didn’t do the prebeta, that’s really just my curiosity.
how many wins/losses did you get? i got 7 wins in my placements and got onyx
Why Isn’t there de ranking?. Some people shouldn’t be a certain rank. my brother lost 2 matches in a row and his performance stood at gold tier one and stop decreasing after he kept losing. This is a awful ranking systen, there should be more tiers because its going to be too easy to master and de ranking should be implemented. It only takes like 4 matches to rank up and theres only 21 ranks. This sucks because its less accurate about player skill and its too easy. Also everyone should start at iron 1. It Will make it more fun to level up and it wont let players skip ranks which would not fun.

There’s a glitch where my XP isn’t being tracked. I’ve been a bronze tier 1 for the past 7 games.

10/10 wins, plus 8 or so more after that. I lost 2 matches total, but that was wayyyyy after I had gotten my silver 2 rank

lol, my K/D is about 4.7, have more assists than deaths so idk if K/D even plays a factor in it anymore
I got placed into Gold 2 after losing around 6 of the first 10, maybe even 7. I don’t really understand how it all is supposed to work, and it seems like one goes up and down in rank based solely off W/L, and at different intervals no less. I wouldn’t worry about your rank too much right now (hell, I’d even go as far to say don’t worry about it ever, but I prefer the social playlists 
).
The skill system only counts wins. It’s not trueskill like old Halo.
so you could be the best player on a team get a rampage and your skill will still go down if you lose. I don’t like this but eh
Yeah, the skill system sucks right now. I just had a match were I led my team with 14 kills, 2 deaths for a 7.0 KDR, we won 50 to 20 and the skill bar went up a sliver of green, you could barely even see the green, and that’s on Bronze 1. WTH?

On the opposite side I played with a super bad team I went like 24-10 while the rest of my team was 4-15 or worse. I carried the team with like 75% of our points. Obviously we lost and although my performance was fairly decent I dropped a -Yoink- ton on my rank.
i shouldn’t be penalized because my team of randoms sucks.
It is like Halo Reach Arena division where it depends where YOU place, so yes if you beat all of them 10 games in a row but placed 4th place every time, then Silver sounds about right because it seems as if you were carried…

lol 4.7 is not your KD, that is your KD SPREAD… SPREAD and KD is not the same thing…
I won 10 of 10 placement games with a KDA of 6.0 and a KD of 1.3 or so and received Silver 3.
My buddy, who won 9 of 10 with KDA of 5.0 and KD of around 1.7 or so received Onyx 3.
He finished early on because I had to work yesterday, so I feel that he was compared to a smaller pool of player than I was. But still, I played all my games with him: 6 before work, 4 after. Won all of them and did better than he did in at least half of them.
I don’t feel that I’m an Onyx rank player, but 10 of 10 and only Silver…?

LOL what? i’m speaking in terms of k/d ratio, NOT spread. Basically I’m saying I have 470 kills and 100 deaths if that clarifies my comment.
