I was wondering if we could figure out the ranking system in the beta because I am really intrigued. I am Platinum 4 and haven’t been able to go higher as of yet by winning more matches. I think it is 1-4 with 4 being the highest as I went down to Platinum 3 after losing a game. What about you guys?

Nope Platinum 6 is a thing. I was deranked in a instant after leaving a game because my partners game froze before the match started (I also left before the match started…). But we had to win more than 10 games or so to get to platinum 6 again … -.- I think the system is broken. Because we won every game but we rank so slowly…
I don’t think they’d use more than 6 sub-ranks although 6 is a weird number. They’ll probably have a gold, silver, bronze and perhaps an onyx because it’s Halo after all.

Only lost one game fairly. Got disconnected a couple times and received a loss; also I had two games where my screen was frozen (luckily my buddy won both games by himself). Anyways, diamond 1 is a thing.
It’s only a beta I suppose, maybe the reason why it is so easy to de-rank is to do with the number of unranked players.
So it seems this ranking system follows suit with halo 5 from 343. Iron bronze platinum silver diamond gold onyx. Not necessarily in that order. I am gold 6 right now and haven’t been able to progress to next level yet. If I am able to, I will write back later. For now, it seems that 3 wins should be a number increase while 3 losses equals a number decrease; just like halo 5.

It seems odd. I won 13/13 and was platinum 6.
Lost 1 game and dropped to platinum 5.
Had to win the next 3 to get back to platinum 6.
Not sure how it works to be honest.
Erm…dose the ranking system take in to account the fact that half the time I’m in a 2v1 match? Long loading + connection times = rage quitting… still leaves more kills for me though

Placed Plat 4, went up to Plat 5, won 7 games in a row, nothing. Lost 2 in a row after that, deranked twice xD

I won all my qualifiers and am now on a 22-0 win streak and I’m only a plat 5 
Hey guys. I believe they are following the same rank System as halo 5. During death match weekend, I am currently 12-0. I went 10-0 to place platinum 6 and after 2 wins I am now diamond 1. I just wish they added custom games for the beta , that would be awesome! Also, something that irritates me, when you click a building and the circular menu pops up, you should be able to hit LEFT on D pad to go to ur next base without having to hit B to cancel the menu then use base hotkey. Was not like this in the original so I’m trying to adjust but I think it’s a step back .
I have reached Diamond in both playlists with a Diamond 3 max. But I assume Diamond 6 is the highest Rank. I don’t think they have an Onyx because I have seen absolutely no one with it.
I want to say it is based off of Wins as well as performance, because in every game I have played where I did less work or equal work to my ally I did not gain rank. In any game where I did majority or all work, I ranked up.
As an experienced player I just really hope they revert back to TrueSkill.
TS was way more effective in finding good games.
I’m tired of playing against noobs. If I’m searching at diamond 4 I want to be able to play against diamond players.

I agree. I shouldnt be able to win 25 in a row no problem.
