How about having the 1 - 50 ranking system for casual playlists (Team Slayer, Objective, Big Team Battle, etc.), but keep this league tier ranking system for the competitive, BR start, no radar playlist?
Clearly, this new ranking system is aimed and tailored for the competitive players. You (343i) have even said it yourself.
Why?
Why? If there is a Number “30” or a League “Gold 1”. Isn’t it a similar system, but we have 15 Levels (+Semi-Pro/Pro) instead of 50?

Because the new ranking system they have is aimed towards pro players, then just groups everyone else together in like 6 tiers (which isn’t enough). Someone who is Onyx 1 will get matched up with people who are Onyx 3. Yet the skill gap between the two is like level 24 players being matched up with level 34’s.
The 1 - 50 system worked well because it matched you up with people your level, or near it. They’re only using this system because the skill gap between level 50’s wasn’t accurately portrayed. They’ve even said that themselves. Well guess what, not everyone was a 50. Now those people are just being grouped together in tiers to duke it out.
