Ranking System? Garbage or am I confused?

I’m currently looking at a player who has two more games played than myself, two less kills, more deaths, and I even have almost double his assists.

His KDA is 4.5

My rank Gold III
He is a Onyx III

How does this ranking work?

More assists, maybe. It’s also a beta so there’s bugs.

Don’t forget it goes mostly by what rank the players are that you defeat and not just by the stats.

So far it looks like it is entirely based off wins, so it is possible to be carried through the ranks. I have encountered players who are really good and only a silver, but players who are consistently at the bottom on the carnage report with gold or onyx.

What you can’t see is the quality of the opponents he’s faced versus the ones you have faced. Quality of the win is important in this system…

Also, you rank is reflective of your skill relative to everyone else’s skill. That said, a lot more data will be needed before ranks are relatively accurate. Just keep playing and accuracy will improve over time.
