I have been playing swat on halo 5 and i noticed that the ranking in this game is broken. I dont think that just because you lose a game you should be demoted or just because you win a game you should be promoted. I have had games where i would go 25/10 K/D and still lose my rank because i get paird with afk people or just bad players in general. I think that the ranking needs to be more about your skill and not about your teams skill. I feel that if you do bad in on the wining team you should be demoted and if you do good on the losing team you should be promoted.
Ranking systems like those will never work out how you expect or want them to though. Basing ranks entirely on individual performance only encourages players to covet their stats more. People will play and stat pad just to rank up, not caring about how well they help out their team and quitting when things don’t go their way.
