I just want to say, me and my buddy (Usually pull low/mid onyx and diamond ranks) were searching team slayer! I am Diamond 4/5 and he is Diamond 6. We have matched FULL TEAMS (Teams of 4) several times including those that consist of nothing but High Onyx and Champion ranks. This has happened several times in about 2 hours time. This literally makes the game no fun. 343 please fix you broken system. I have a suggestion.
We all know there is an invisible rank (based off of previous ranks I assume). Minimize its effect. It affects the searching process way too much. It should be only used for the FIRST game of the 10 qualifying games for each gametype. Take the rank we were last month, let that control who we play for that first game. THEN get rid of the invis rank. If you win the first game. Should automatically match higher ranks next game. If you lost, you should match lower ranks. Use that pattern for the entire set of 10. Where ever your rank is after 10 games that is what you should be.
Then, get rid of the “you can’t down rank” crap. Please!!! There are several people that get “carried” into a rank. Then when other kids play them, they get raped but wont de-rank past that class of ranks (Diamond, onyx, etc). Let them de-rank. This will put them in a rank where they truly belong.
I really hope you guys stop being so catering to the “non-competitive” people. That is not where the money is. There isn’t even a Doubles playlist??? Please pay attention to this message and do something about the ranking system. If you need it, i have picture proof of two instances of me matching Champions even though I am mid Diamond.
Once again, I really hope you guys take this seriously and not mess it up like MCC and H4. This is a great game! You just need to do your part in keeping it FUN and Competitive!
I agree I really tried this placement time, and I was carrying my team most of the time. I won 9/10 games and placed silver 6. I also played the same guy again and again, and I kept destroying him. He was a gold. I want to get a high rank, so I can play people that are actually challenging. The only thing I don’t want is deranking though. Just get the ranks right the first time.
High Diamond playing against an onyx and a champion makes sense to me in many ways. Your friend is diamond 6 (very close to Onyx)
Yes, and they recently updated it so that finding games at high onyx/champion is much quicker. Ppl with high ranks usually can’t even find a game, so they’re going to dip in against diamonds from time to time now.
Ya. Whatever the specifics of the tweaks they made to the ranking system this season is way to strong. It just doesn’t make sense.
In my Team Arena placements, we did fairly well. By the end we were playing some high Onyx and diamond players.
We end up ranking Platinum. WHY?!
With previous Diamond ranks. and still doing well. Even against the Onyx and Diamonds. we get Plat. Makes 0 sense

If you want to rank high play gametypes that have low player amounts and near the end of the season, that’s how I got ONYX 1560+

i ranked gold 3 after winning 9/10 games, it sucks
