Sucks that I derank only because I go negative. I wemt from platinum 5 to platinum 4. Even if I cap 2 flags, even if I held the ball the longest. It’s cuz I go negative.
Eventually we will all hit a level cap in which you come up against evenly matched players/teams.
I think I am in the same boat as you and I don’t seem to be climbing now.
I’m stuck at gold 6, about 3/4 of the way up, really hoping to get to platinum.
I only seem to win about 1 game in 3 now and I always check the ranks of my team mates and the opposition. Annoyingly, the majority of the time, my opponents are usually platinum and diamond ranks which I find unfair but I guess that’s how the matchmaking works. I seem to always have at least one unranked team member.
The grind is real 
343 has addressed the match making issue in ranked and said that it is their highest priority. They do it just to fill the games but in the future they’re going to put us with our actual ranking class instead of having everyone all over the place.
I’ve lost experience in wins doing decent and gained in losses. Followed by 3 good wins for no XP and one loss for a massive do loss. I just don’t get it.
Im currently diamond 4 in both controller n open but about every 5 game or so get a 3v4 or a quitter and about every 3-4 games get gold or low plat teammates. I’ve also been ranked with the highest ranked guy in the playlist and a mid plat in the same game lol.
Should be near biggest pool of players since the game just launched but it’s got like a weird hidden rank and lopsided lobby’s. In game stats and a champ rank would be cool too. Probably wouldn’t be me on it, but cool to see.
