I’ve been grinding my -Yoink- off to reach diamond but it seems to be broken. It seems to depend on the time of day in order to get a decent team. One of my friends is bragging about reaching diamond but he only gets to play against gold and silver rates. Besides, I also played holiday doubles, got 90% win ratio, 4.0 kda and still I get gold 3 rating. I’ve had it with ranked.
You need to remember that you aren’t being ranked with players based on your rank, you’re being matched with players based on your MMR.
Your MMR from pre-season carried over so if your MMR made you a Gold player during pre-season, you will be matching people with similar MMR in your placement matches for the January 2016 season.
Running into bad team mates is just unfortunate. If you want to play with good players, it is highly advised searching with a full team.
I’d like it if they changed the weighting for ranks. Wins/losses are by far the most important factor. I’ve lost while going 20-5 and still lost ranks, it could at least let me break even for my performance.
Ok makes sense. On the other hand, yesterday I played team arena. I won 7 games in a row and went from platinum 3 to 5. My buddy who was in the same team, went from platinum 1 to 6. It seems like I need the double amount of victories in order to rank up

That would just promote camping. Halo has always been about winning to rank up. If you are serious about your rank and want to rank up, you must play with friends. It has always been that way.
