It’s the new trueskill ranking. They are ranking you excatly by your hidden MMO rank this season and they aren’t shaving off any CSR points after ranking as they did in previous seasons. I saw you were platinum last season so kinda makes sense you are diamond this season. There is more about the new ranking in the matchmaking feedback section

I played beige in slayer, and less than beige (should have gone to sleep…) in arena the other night to start the season, and got platinum 5 and 4. There is no way I am a platinum player, and these were not particularly good 10 game sets by me. Participation ribbons for everyone?

Actually your rank makes sense as well. You were gold last season and since they aren’t shaving CSR points off after placement it makes sense you are platinum.
My first match was against champions in slayer. Idk wth is going on, but the people I’m playing against are beyond my level. These matches are going horrible so far, and I’ve only won 2. Now its taking forever to even find a match. This game is frustrating sometimes man. Idk what rank I’m going to get, but I’ve never had such bad matches before. I can’t aim right now, the games are laggy…jesus…

Sounds like you may have a connection issue. Do a hard reset of the Xbox and relaunch the game.

Maybe. Ive encountered this before tho and my network diagnostic always comes out all good, open nat, etc. I’ll try it tho

Yeah, open NAT and connection aren’t everything. I’ve seen people with around 100 down and 25 up still have bad connection to game servers. The Xbox test pings to Seattle I believe.
