The ranking in this game is very flawed. I had a team of 4 where we are all pretty much at the same level. I got disconnected a few times from the servers (says oops something went wrong) during the first 10 games. It registered it as me quitting a game. Then all my teammates got diamond status as I eventually got silver status. Now whether I play silver gold platinum or diamond status, my rank won’t increase more for beating a party of diamonds over beating a party full of silvers. I have also seen a ton of “diamonds” going 2-16. It’s just very annoying how I Should be a diamond but placed as a silver because of a few disconnections on halos end.
I got placed really low in slayer when I’m also much much better then the competition im raising my rank extremely fast since my opponents are so easy

Ranking is only an emblem it doesn’t really mean much and if you’re stomping your competition I’m sure you’ll continue to rise through the ranks.

Man just do what you do and you will be diamond or onyx before you know it! Play with your team and you will be outta there in no time. Those 2-16 guys got carried and now they are stuck in that division lol

Bull. You cannot downgrade from a Plat 1 to Gold 6. Did you perchance even look at the CSR/Rank of those you played against?
You might be right on this. I assume it will get better. It does not have to be a static system

Well… that wouldn’t be a downgrade he’d would have had to drop to Gold 6. But you are right, once placed in a rank division, you can’t downgrade outside of that rank.

You can’t fall out of your division. That’s specifically mentioned in a 343 post

Why would he when they’re not even displayed in the lobby? Instead you have to go digging through their godawful menu/UI to see it.

After a match it is one button press. Not exactly digging around.
I am not that good but when i ranked up for the first time i instantly became platinum for some reason
