I got demoted a rank after gaining experience.
I was playing a lot of matchmaking games to work towards the monthly challenge and gain the experience points. When I had completed it, I had ranked up. I turned off my xbox and played again later, I lost all the points and was demoted but the challenges were still complete. Has this happened to anyone else?
How soon after completing the challenge did you turn off your Xbox? I’m wondering if the earned XP didn’t get a chance to save.
(Judging by publicly-available information, it seems like XP and rank are stored primarily on your hard drive, while Challenge completion status is stored primarily on the Matchmaking servers.)

There should be absolutely no demotions in this game. Halo should be a winning experience at all times no matter the outcome. I hope this gets addressed promptly.
I had turned it off about 5 mins after I ranked up to check what I had earned then turned off the xbox. I’m not too sure about how the saving works but that should have been enough time to allow something to save. This is quite disappointing as I have put a lot of time and effort into the monthly challenge just to get nothing out if it.
