I could care less about ranking. Sure it would be nice to have some sort of rank if it was used ink the actual match making process. But it never has been used. High ranks always went against low ranks regardless. Without ranks I think it is easier for people to take it one game at a time and enjoy the game a lot more.

These ranks are the biggest load of -Yoink- I’ve seen in recent memory. Coming soon, yeah right.
Get over the ranking already.
I want 343 to fix the game, not add useless numbers that wont even be operational or even accessible to majority of the population.
The little fun has run out, need some ranking. And where is team doubles?
They will probably add ranking when the game is fixed
I do really want ranks to be added, as I enjoy the competitive nature of the game, and finding players of a similar skill is exactly what MCC needs right now. However I am skeptical, because if every playlist now gets a ranked and unranked varient then it’s just going to thin the already lacking population out further, it’s already hard to find a game in regular Halo 3 for example, when there’s a split it’s going to be even worse. I personally would like to see ranked playlists for H1/2/3/4/2A and then a couple social playlists like Team Slayer, Rumble Pit, Infection, etc. That way the population wouldn’t be too strained.
Also I’m almost 100% certain that the H2A ranking is bugged right now, obviously there’s the random rank resets, but I’ve won something like 8 games in a row with no losses on my 14 against players in their 20’s and haven’t budged an inch, seems odd…
Anyway, I’m all for ranks but there’s not much point adding it until it works properly anyway.

Either the ranking system is broken or I just have no idea how it works. My team won by several kills and I had a 2 KD, but my rank went down.
Probably after the patch beta. That’s what I’m guessing.
Well i’m glad I’m starting to see more people complain about this. I’m tired of no actual skill based matchmaking system is in place yet. It was an advertising point of this game, one I was very excited for. I have yet to see it, as matchmaking que times for most are far better than the first month. I struggle to bring myself to play this game for a lack of competitiveness from the average player. Some of us like to play good players.

and they know it.
They have a load of game play issues to fix first. Secondly they actually have to go in and fix the ranking system so it works properly. Then they have to test it. THEN they can actually add it to more play lists.
So it’ll be a while.
I hope they add ranks soon. Even though it’s pointless atm it’s just boring as hell playing for no reason. I’ve played halo for years, the last thing I care about doing is playing with zero purpose
The issues are constant so while their addressing 999999999999 bugs stop torturing us with ranking coming soon. Number 1 priority is to get more players. Fed up players will quit everyday ranks dont exist or are non functional. The more players that quit the more 343 loses in potential downloadable content consumers. If a functional ranking system was implemented across all playlists now 343 could win back some of their old fans and get new fans. Not to mention fans could recommend the game to their friends for additional 343 revenue. In my eyes a functional ranking system is essential for the continual existence of this game. 343 other incentive for this ranking system would be to try to improve their currently tarnished reputation and to exponentially increase the halo fan base for the upcoming release of halo 5.

I’m not quite sure what you mean by this. I never played against low ranked/low skilled players in H3 when I was a high rank. Same with H2
They will add ranks after the game is fixed, that will probably happen when Dr. Dre release Detox.

I haven’t even tried the Halo 2 ranked playlist since launch. I just don’t care enough to do so.
