ok this pisses me off, everyone was complaining about matchmaking not working. It finally starts to work and I see people quitting games by either going to dashboard and restarting game or apparently people are going to network settings and going offline, letting them still get xp and level up…
Whoever is is doing this is a joke, it’s a damn rank we’ve all seen before. Just play the game or go die
This has been like a lifelong journey to play halo 2, but it’s always tarnished by losers who can’t play the game. I don’t get it, this game has tremendous potential to be great. It was delayed due to issues, but have been fixed and game is working great but now you can’t play a match without some loser quoting to get a number. Back in the day it was people who stand by, then halo 3 came out, game wasn’t nearly as good as 2, then 4 came out and that game sucked, then reach and Jesus that was awful. Then this, I was so pumped, but the issues took a lot from the true beauty of the game. It was fixed but the same kids who have been probably complaining on end about the matchmaking issues are the same kids who are just quitting out of games. What is the purpose of that? Seriously tell me. Sweet you have a 50 but what does that get you?
It sucks that people quit out like that, I hear you. I think it must stem from 343 trying to track ranking locally, because going offline should appear as quitting for all intents and purposes, and you should either lose/win depending on how well the team do that you leave behind.
I reckon if it becomes a massive issues, 343 will be able to fix it quite easily. I think firstly they need to concentrate on getting the ranking system to actually work properly. It should be finding players within a 10 level range, but I’ve played with 29s already, which shouldn’t be possible unless you’re in a party.
I’m sure it’ll end up being fixed, but I don’t want them to reset the ranks like other people are asking for. After all, we’re all going to end up higher ranks than we currently are anyway, once people have played enough.
Yeah man it’s unreal, today I plaued 2 50s and once we started winning they quit out. Why? Makes no sense…
it’s just amazing, the game is so great when you actually play but it’s just ruined. I bought an Xbox for this game (like many others) and I spent weeks waiting for matchmaking to fix. I played campaign sure but it’s no where near as awesome as online can be.
343 needs to patch that and hopefully this game isn’t just a dud while we wait for halo 5… I just hope they don’t Rush deliver that game as well
I take back what I said earlier about this not being a massive issue yet, I am having serious problems with it now. The game starts and immediately someone quits about 1/3 of the time to rank up (always the level 15s and up), it’s terrible!

If you’re mad about people leaving, then yeah I agree it sucks that people do that. But if you’re mad about their rank, they will get matched with players that are better than them. Their rank will surely go back down unless they just boost it back up, but they are only setting themselves up for an uneven match.
I’m with you 100% another thing that needs adding is stricter searching, so you can only match players with in 10 highest skill of the highest skill within your party, basically, the way the Halo 3 system works. But yeah ranks need fixing and a global reset needs to be applied.

I could care less about their high rank, it means nothing. I just can’t believe every game I played yesterday someone quit to do rank up. I just want to play lol that being said I switched to custom games and pondering life.

I don’t think a reset is needed, who cares if these losers have a high rank? If they just fix the bug those rejects will just lose it anyways. Why should the kids who play legit have to reset theirs? If the issue is fixed the universe tends to unfold as it should.
however, I wouldn’t care if they did reset it too, I enjoy playing and ranking up, but I’m just saying I don’t think a reset is completely necessary

True but people could just get a 50 and never play for it, it somehwat takes the credibility away from it. Also, maybe just reset people over a higher rank and make searches stricter. I’m a 14 currently and just matched a playlist 50. This is dumb.
