playing team slayer ranked and I’m playing my 10 games to get a rank. I can Never get put on a team that is halfway decent ,while the other team is ON point!!! when the game ends the average rank of my opponents is 120-150 while my team is 20s-50??? I’m very new to this game and it’s just not right
The downside to playing solo is your team can never play for s*** and the enemy is usually a full party. Playing with a team is the only way to thrive in ranked nowadays, and as a solo player, I find that quite bothersome.
Not dismissing your matches, but just letting you know that the game doesn’t match you based on your SR level (20, 150, etc). It’s matches you using your MMR rank which is hidden. You’ll want to read this thread and this one to get a basic understanding of the ranking system.
I don’t know I feel like the ranking system is placing me at a higher rank (mmr ) than I am , how am I going to help the team win when I just got in this game within the last month and I am better, significantly better then my teammates .my opponents are significantly better than myself
Your 28 is your Spartan Rank which has nothing to do with your actual skill or how you get matched. CSR or Competitive Skill Rating is bronze - champion ranks. I would look up your rank to tell you yours, but you’re posting on an account that hasn’t played a single game.

Okay, your CSR is a platinum 3. After looking at most of your Slayer games with the exception of a few of the scores, they all looked pretty normal to me. Most of the games were close and all the people you matched with were within the matching range of yours and your teammates CSR ranks. It could just be a case of someone under performing on your team when the matching system thought they would play better. You also can’t blame everything on them. You had some games where you didn’t perform that great either. Can’t really go more in-depth since I don’t have the data, but you’re not going to win every game playing solo so you just have to prepare for that.
If you want a more in-depth reason for those games, you could always ask Dr. Menke in this thread and he might answer your questions. He can see behind the scenes of those games and could tell you why they happened the way they did.

It’s fine to play solo. I find lots of people have their mics on and still call out anyway. It gets harder the higher rank you go though.
