I don’t know why this needs to be said but, you cannot have solo players matching teams of 4 in ranked. It is unbelievably unbalanced. This happens constantly. If you don’t have friends still playing this game (most of us don’t) then good luck playing ranked. You will run into teams the entire time.

343 should reintroduce team matching. Both Infinite and MCC.

That’s why there is Solo/Duo and Open match making options. Too bad there aren’t enough players to get matchups.

The only thing 343i could consider is prioritizing teams of people in a squad be faced up against similar teams also in squads. But they should by no means not allow solo queues to get paired up against squads at all. It would be stupid of them to consider anything else.
You should be playing ranked with an push to win at any means. Solo queuing is playing to lose and purposely putting yourself at a disadvantage, you’re not taking the game serious enough. Your choosing this scenario by queuing up without a squad. This is a consequence of said action, you’re going to have to learn to accept that.

I certainly do accept that, or at least I used to when I could even find ranked games. You seem pretty negative about solo players in ranked though. Remember that us poor solo losers are critical to other squads of 2 or 3 finding games though.
The whole point of ranked is to be a more serious mode where people should be doing everything they can in order to win. That’s what rank is all about. Getting mad because your getting destroyed by people who play more intelligently and then demanding that goes against making smart decisions in order to succeed is just stupid.
Sometimes you need to crack a few skulls in order to get the point through. Features like having solo queuers play only other solo queuers is just flat out stupid. Solo queueing is the effect of being lazy and not wanting to give it your all in order to win, which is again, the entire point of ranked. The best they could probably request is, as I said, should only prioritize teams to play against another team with a simular set up, but should never consider baring off solo queuers just because they don’t want to put the effort in to try and win.
You’d be best staying out of ranked and sticking to casual or customers if you think it should. Ranked just isn’t for you.

That’s fair and like I said in my first post 343i did give us a dedicated playlist to avoid 4 and 3 player teams. It was just pretty much empty even from the start here in Australia.

This was added after I agreed with your post and I don’t really agree with this part. It’s unreasonable to expect you will be ultra competitive, playing in a less than optimal situation (ie solo) but I wouldn’t call it lazy. I can’t even get a game now but before it died off that much in my region I still played but really didn’t have any chance of actually playing with a team. You can still enjoy the challenge and game type while giving it your best effort.
Shouldn’t expect miracles playing that way though.

I only play solo and am very competitive, always going for objectives and supporting my team when I see someone struggling. And always going for that win like all 4 of our lives depend on it. You seem kinda bitter, solo ranked climbing sucks but I hope you’re one of the people im constantly plasma grenading. Besides finding matches have been getting longer and longer so you should appreciate whenever you get a full lobby as 343 kinda killed Infinites player base
Considering we are being cursed into a 50/50 win rate as a solo player in ranked Im happy with my slightly above 50/50 win rate.
I think the random players get matched with full teams only on the odd occasions. Most people I play are randoms as I match with these players all the time and the sides are always different.
What a dumb post, especially for the whole stupid part. Competitive play is by no means bound to a full team. There a many reasons for people not playing in a squad, beeing lazy and not serious aint one of them…
edit: by now, we all know your standpoint on playing solo. You literally use every second post to communicate that.
CSR and SBMM have nothing to do with teamwork and communication. I love searching solo and being matched with a team of 3. It rarely happens but it’s super when it does. Infinite ranked just isn’t like any other ranked Halo game. Ever. It’s disappointing.
I am so glad you have brought this up its like something i have been trying to get trough also playing on your own against a staked team of 4 is clearly not fair in any way of form ! we need playlist structure so players searching in there group number are searching in the same numbers as the opposition this just fixes so much i cant express how much of a positive move this would be i want to play rank with other randoms who are also searching on their own please lets get this done for the next update so huge this one .

Ok its not just about the team here when you are solo a lot of the time others are also with no mics so this means the game needs to give us more senses you cant have a game that relies on call outs when everyone is off comms we need to hear players creeping from behind at least! I can understand that finding a game would take longer then instead just give us more senses so we don’t have to rely on the mic soo much .
Giving them advice on how to improve their experiences of the game and criticizing ones push is not being disrespectful. Now if I insulted them left and right and did genuine mean things towards them, that would be me being disrespectful. Maybe consider looking up the definition of the term before you toss it around.

Never once did I tell people to stay out of ranked. You’re putting words in my mouth. I’m telling people that in order to push to win, you will have to do things you wouldn’t normally do. I also stated that people actually picking their teammates shouldn’t be restricted to only playing other teams. A team of 3 is going to need a solo queuer to fill the fourth slot after all, there’s absolutely no way around this. People that solo queue are going to have to learn to just deal with it.
