Why is doubles the deal breaker? It’s not like it’s a unique creative mode. It’s just slayer with less people lol.

You aren’t wrong, but it allows for competitive play amongst a smaller group of friends. For example, my friend and I are the doubles squad. We do not have a 3rd, and 4th to play Team Slayer. We don’t want random people, we want to be the dynamic duo that relies on each other to succeed. We know if we lose, it is our fault, not whether or not we lucked out with 2 decent people in Team Slayer.
