Why is that when I lead my time, have a 2.0+ KD, and win and only go up 1-4 points? This week I played my heart out, won so many games in a row and hit 1530 at most, and had one bad game and lost all of it. My friend who is also Onyx who I have been playing daily hit 1580 in just a few games despite a few matches where I out perform him. He was going 10-20 points while I was only getting 2. All the games I was either out performing him, tied or barely under him. Any answers?

If you’re struggling to get beyond 1530, chances are you won’t hit Champion, my guy. He likely plays better overall on average if he can climb higher. But yes, Champion is around 1900. The difference between a 1530, like you, and a 1700, is HUGE. Even if you beat some Champions, or high Onyx players, you have to CONSISTENTLY play better than they do! Or at the very least, keep up with the 1900+ players! Remember, a single win against said players means nothing, they simply perform better agaisnt better players, more often, than you do, on average!
Basically, what I am saying is, you’re not quite good enough to get Champion if the 1500s are a struggle for you. But hey, hitting Onyx 1530 in itself is no joke!

Wow I’m just seeing this. Thanks for the reply but it still doesn’t answer my problem. I was performing just as well against the SAME opponents. We were playing together. Some games I did better and I went up 1 point. Yes. 1 point while he got 10. Game is bugged

pretty sure i’m csr locked and its awful. I’ve won 17 out of my last 20 games I’ve moved almost nowhere. i’m getting rather annoyed with it, I’ve been team queue and solo queuing fyi.

I have noticed this too. Some guys I play with always rank low onyx and I end up in the 1600-1800 range. I usually outperform but there have been days were they outperform me every game and barely go up. I’ll go up 5-10 and they will go up 1. If we lose I’ll lose 1 and they will lose 10. Even though they outperform me my mmr is higher I guess because truthfully I am the better player. Still, ranking system sucks.

It’s only frustrating until you understand how the ranking system works. They should have made it more clear in-game so that people know what to expect.

Think that’s a CSR lock, need to just push through it. You’ll know if you look at the other team you beat and they are consistently higher than you (all 4)
