I have a few idea in mind for rewards.
I like the idea of giving out a season 1, 2, 3…etc exclusive reward but I believe there should also be rank specific rewards as well.
Now bear with me.
Much like League of Legends and other Moba games, players reach a certain rank in the ranked playlist and are awarded the division specific border and icon.
For example, if you finish the season off Silver 1-5, you ware awarded a silver loading screen border and an icon for the season. But what I see in the current awards for the ranked season is a bit similar to the Hearthstone award system. You finish your 10 placement games in any playlist and are awarded the season exclusive rewards. But the difference in the season rewards in Halo and other games are that there is an actual goal to getting these rewards. Something you work hard towards. Reaching Gold tier in League of Legends awards you with a free skin specific to that season only. Reaching level 20 in the ranked playlist in Hearthstone gives you a new card skin, then reaching the “Legend” rank (much like our Onyx or I would say Champion rank) you are awarded an exclusive “Legend” card skin. For Halo 5, you simply have to play 10 games and you get the rewards everyone else can get. A bronze player will get the same rewards as a champion player just because he afk’d all 10 games.
I know the ranked season literally JUST started but these are just my ideas and concerns. Hopefully everyone will understand that I am in no way shape or form an complaining about a system just released and is new to Halo.
Keep in mind that I’m not saying that 343i should make the changes to better the game, but consider the options they have as well.
