Ranked playlist suggestions

Hey guys, I wanted to suggest a few things for ranked playlists to help bring it more life, as many know, many ranked playlists are dead, yet social is always alive.

  1. Make ranking up take less amount of wins. Currently it takes 220-250 wins (without a loss) to get a 50 in this game, makes a lot of players not even grind ranked because of how insanely long it takes. I played halo reach slayer this weekend, won 20 games in a row and only ranked up 4 times from 19 to 23. It takes about 10 wins over losses to rank up from 49-50, our population can’t really handle that kind of grind.

  2. Let teams of 4 in invasion match anyone (full teams and singles), as the playlist is now, it’s impossible to get games in full teams right now, and it makes it less enjoyable.

  3. Create more incentive to play ranked. For future halo there should be an achievement to get level 50 in ranked, this will definitely make more ppl play it, create new nameplates for ppl who get 50’s in certain playlists, more armor, more xp from ranked, etc. Make these updates known to the community in the weekly message. Provide a way to let us show off our ranks in multiple playlists on your profile (not just one single playlist).

What do you guys think? Also if you post, please let us know if you grind ranked or social more, this is to differentiate between the two when an opinion is given.

Bonus: Do you guys think Halo infinite should provide a reward for ppl who get max progression rank in MCC, kind of like h5?

The only way I would play and grind a ranked playlist is, and I know this would/will never happen, is if there was a ranked lone wolves, max six players, that covered all titles of the franchise. To me that would be in true spirit of MCC. But sadly most only want one particular title or maybe two. There just aren’t enough players who are willing to play all titles. I doubt there is much they can do at this point to encourage players to play ranked. There just won’t be enough population to have good skill based matchmaking. It took them way to long to get the game to where it should have been at launch.

I agree with this, I feel like there should be some ranked playlists that incorporate all halos due to the population issue, this is a good idea. idk about the 6 player max, I want it to be the same as halo 3’s max, I thin kit was 8 if I recall. Top half rank up, bottom half rank down.

H3 ranked lone wolves was six players… Unranked rumble pit was 8 player’s… But the majority of all FFA players seem to agree FFA, especially ranked, plays way way better with only six players.

They should make ranked exclusive to full teams and start everyone at level 50 and have the noobs work their way down instead of the other way around.

The best incentive to play ranked I think would be a better way to present numbers like K/D and games played. There’s a good amount of stats available to each person in-game if they check but no one else can compare unless you ask, and they seem to be a little bit different than what’s shown here on waypoint. All someone could see about me from my in-game profile is my highest ranked playlist and my overall kills deaths assists and wins, when we should at least be able to see the breakdown of those stats for each Halo. If I perform poorly outside my comfort zone I want people to see my preference, and if I do well, I want to show off my versatility haha. I remember one guy in Halo 2 told me to stick to H3 because it was my highest rank, when I bet the only thing he did on Halo was play H2 so he could rely on the plasma pistol and sword smh
