It might just be me but I’m so fed up with placing in FFA and matching against unranked players still qualifying (along with the bull -Yoink- season/reset system). I play to win and I know you can’t win every match but taking 2nd to a player that hasn’t even ranked yet makes me want to throw my controller through my T.V. I know there’s no shortage of unranked players in FFA because I barely get a match without them and have even played all unranked opponents the day before a reset. I’m not sure if this is an issue in other playlists, but theres got to be a better way. Sacrificing an even match to get a faster one isn’t worth it to me and pretty much defeats the purpose of ranking to begin with.

They need to play ranked players for the system to determine their rank.
But doesn’t the system recognize player rank from previous seasons? Couldn’t that be a deciding factor in placement vs playing actual ranked players. Seems to be the case from other threads I’ve seen, along with the fact that most players place relatively close to where they were before the damn reset anyway. I still think the season setup is pointless. It’s definitely one of the things I hate most about H5.
What happens when very few unranked players are on to match against by week 3?
Don’t see that as an issue ever (in FFA at least). As I said, I regularly play unranked opponents, days before seasons end even. I guess they can play against ranked players there closets to after the previous seasons end. But the system should search out unranked players first!
