I cannot even count how many times this has happened. I play ranked, and then 1 teammate, sometimes 2, drop out. When this happens it should be possible to leave without losing rank, it just doesn’t seem right to take the consequences of other’s leaving.
Also, please consider to let individual stats count more on rank progress, currently how I do in a match matters nothing compared to actually winning… It should be possible to be rewarded for playing good on a losing team as well.
I love this game but please consider changes in ranked, it doesn’t seem fair to me.
Individual stats (not per game) but over all games is what determines how fast your rank up or down. If you’re always doing really well you barely lose rank when you lose and gain rank much faster when you win. It’s possible for you to keep ranking up even when you lose more than you win.
I’m not 100% how your stats are affected in games with quitters. But I’m fairly certain you’re better off staying in the game than quitting, getting it over with as soon as possible and moving onto the next game.
Realistically the odds of the quitters being on the enemy team are higher than your own if you are not a quitter yourself so over time it averages out in your favour.
Thanks for the reply Ken. I guess I have just had a bad patch latent with a lot of losses in a row, a lot of the times the loss is a direct consequence of a guy leaving, extremely frustrating.
Thanks for explaining how the individual stats work.
Just gotta keep at it.
Yep, with the design direction that moves away from individual skill and towards team shooting it’s absolutely impossible to win unless someone on the other team is just horrific.
