As the title suggests, there needs to be people spawned in, even in ranked matchmaking. Halo has a playerbase that has a bad habit of quitting and I’m tired of having unbalanced games. Far too often its 4 on 2.

Just hand out a quit ban everytime they try to quit or put them in the same game everytime they try to search after quitting.

There is nothing that will stop quitters. They can help the players that don’t quit. I would like to see join in progress, the down side of that is getting put into a losing match late in the game and having a loss added to your stats.
Titanfall have an excellent way to counter that, and it works. If you join a losing game in progress you don’t record a loss, if you stay and help to turn it around, you are awarded the win. Halo could use this method imo.
Habitual quitters should be other habitual quitters. I’m of the opinion that instead of being banned from playing, they should be grouped up with and against each other, one box for all who qualify for a ban.
That’s the short part.
As for quitters overall, people quit now and then for different reasons. The only thing you can actually do to combat that is to party up with others, and even then they, or you, can disconnect, have an emergency of some sort or whatever which force a quit.
I’m not a fan of join-in-progress, if it was an option, fine, but I’d disable it for myself.
More than often you find yourself on the losing side, and rarely could you turn that around. With games, there are few things I hate more than having the game tell me I have to lose, because it decided so.
