I thought this would not be possible after the august drop pod. Why is this change still not alive?

Yep still happening, one of the reasons I think this has not been addressed is because anyone at 343 who actually plays Infinte is probably a high rank or they play with high ranks so they do not see or experience this and so they are not bothered.

I haven’t had this happen to me. Thank god but the lowest for me is platinum 1.
Onyx should only play with and against diamonds at the very least.
Example:
Onyx -other onyx and diamond
Diamond 4-6 match with onyx but any diamond can join up with onyx friend.
Diamond 1-3 match with diamonds and platinum 4-6
I could given a better detailed option but as a base I think this is a good standard.
Pretty sure they tried to implement it but whatever they did also effected social game modes. People with high MMRs that don’t even play ranked were not able to find matches in games like BTB.
They really need to do something.

Matchmaking goes by MMR more the rank. Could be people reverse boosting.
That’s all I run into. People search with a Smurf or booster on their onyx to get easy wins and slowly increase their rank without having to face onyx players at their actual skill level. It’s impossible to search ranked solo right now because it’s so rampant

The second feature is meant to help reduce the frequency of under/over-performers in Ranked matches. With this update, Ranked matchmaking will require Fireteam members to be within a certain range of each other’s Competitive Skill Rank (CSR).
Previously, if an Onyx player teamed up with a Silver player, the Onyx player would likely over-perform and the Silver player would likely under-perform. This could cause frustration or disappointment not only among teammates but with the other team as well. By implementing this feature, we can start to ensure competitive matches more consistently.
But if an onyx and a bronze player are still together in the same team in ranked, this change is either not working or it was not implemented until now.
Yes, it’s really broken right now. All day as a P4 i have been ranking against teams with an onyx player and I am getting wrecked. It’s completely disheartening and i am stopping playing ranked until the reset.
