Ranked - No voice chat, no team chat - am I muted?

Now, this shouldn’t be a thing - at all - in ranked.
Ranked requires communications, especially since you’ve taken away the radar in ranked play.

Yet, I have a little “play” symbol next to my voice - and I just thought all my teammates were being ignorant.
But shortly after I discovered that, and checked my settings (I can’t find any way to “resume” voice comms), I now cannot send any chat messages either (where as before text communications were working while voice wasn’t).

If you’ve muted me for playing a competitive game, and you’re going to do that for competitive gamers playing the ONE competitive game-mode you’ve got, then you’ve literally just slapped the nail in Halo’s coffin.

EDIT:
I had to restart the game to get text chat working again.
Voice chat still doesn’t work - doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. It used to work, now it doesn’t work.

2nd EDIT:
Another issue with communications - the fact you can’t type any numbers. Why are these censored? Are you really that f**** fragile you can’t have someone say “you’re going -10 KD”?

3rd EDIT:
Voice chat now works. It auto-changed to “Disabled” for some unknown reason. Setting it to PTT didn’t fix it. Restarting the game didn’t fix it.
I just heard people in voice so started trying to talk again, and that seemingly fixed it and my voice symbol changed again while PTT was enabled.

Is it possible your mic is broken? (Mine is unreliable.)

It’s possible no one’s listening. I mute anyone who starts talking, almost immediately.

I never really play in game chat anymore, but there are definitely some people using it. Can confirm that party chat works fine tho.

Regardless, call outs, Ai and Spartan chatter covers just about everything needed for me.

Hey,
No, I’m streaming, my mic is on stream, plus discord.
It used to work without an issue - but there’s an actual “play” button, next to a muted symbol next to my name. I figured I’ve been muted for being the only person using voice chat in all my games and actually communicating.

The problem I have is I can’t make a call out when dead - the command button doesn’t work, therefore you can’t provide anymore intel. Pair that with no one actually uses the ping command anyway, I’m legit the only one voicing, and the only one pinging, game after game, in ranked.

EDIT: Oh and I’m not on Xbox. I don’t use ‘Party chat’.

Did anyone every find a fix for this?
I’ve watched every video, and looked at every official fix for ranked (and non ranked) voice chat.
I can’t get my mic/headset to work. I can’t hear anyone else talking, and can’t use text chat, and I can’t use voice chat.

343, please fix your “match chat”. Most of the time it doesn’t work. Occasionally it does work, so I know all my settings are correct.

The only time my in game voice chat doesn’t work is when I’m in an Xbox party with all my friends. Otherwise I just mute myself cause no one wants to hear my Spotify when I’m playing.
