Ranked Matchmaking & Playlist

What if ranked matchmaking in Halo 5 was only Team Slayer, Team Doubles, Free For All & HCS. But instead of top 200 champions there are only top 50 per playlist. So have 4 ranked playlist & only 200 champions between all of them. Because currently there are 8 ranked playlist in Halo 5 & top 200 champions per playlist so that equals to 1600 champions. I think Halo 5’s population doesn’t support 8 ranked playlist & plus it would bring some prestige back to the champion rank. And get rid of Team Arena, make Team Snipers & SWAT social playlist & remove Breakout completely as a playlist.

What do you guys think?

I don’t think the number of ranked playlists really affects the champion rank. Just because you’re good at swat doesn’t mean you’re good at FFA so there’s no reason to compare across playlists. I would like Team Arena in unranked though.

It’s worth noting that there are only 200 Champion slots for each ranked playlist, but not necessarily 200 Champs for each playlist. There is a minimum CSR required to get that rank.

The idea about lowering the number of possible Champions seems unnecessary to me. The other idea about reduced number of playlists, however, has some merit.
