My internet isn’t the worst. i’ll disconnect maybe a handful of times a week.
I was mid way through Diamond I when I d/ced out and couldn’t reconnect, this resulted in me losing like 5 wins worth of elo. Mid way through D1 all the way down to the bottom without a single slither of white bar. Not to mention it screws over my 3 other friends im queued with.
I always manage to resolve my disconnects within a minute and would have easily been able to rejoin immediately without putting my team at too much of a disadvantage.
If there was a reconnect option and we still lost I would have lost no where near the amount of elo I did. Basically rendered 5 games pointless to play.
At the very least make disconnects less punishing, I understand why a legitimate quitter would lose so much elo and how a less punishing system could be abused but there must be a compromise somewhere.
