Something happened to matchmaking yesterday evening. Ever since my team of all Onyx players have been SLAMMING on bronze-diamond teams. There is no attempt to place us with our skill level anymore. It seems skill based matchmaking has been turned off. Look at my last 20 games or so, we have been VSing teams much lower than us. A lot of games the opposing teams have barely managed to get a kill. I got a Boogeyman medal one game. What is going on? Anyone else noticing this?

Yes I noticed the same, played 2 matches as an onyx player vs silver-plat team. First time i ever seen a silver player
today was the first time ive ever saw a bronze player
Might be a regional thing having to do with favoring ping (that’s what was definitely changed this week). Are you playing in a high player population area? Playing during the day or during peak times? Getting local games (low ping)?
Im in Metro Detroit so pretty high population and the same thing has been happening no matter when I play. Im sure the ping update has something to do with it but this is insane, it feels like were playing Social. Prior to yesterday evening ranked was the sweatiest experience of my life.
I think it got fixed serverside after 2 PM PST, match ups have gone back to normal.

I just watched a friend stream in our discoed and he had BRONZE players in the same lobby. He’s an over 1600 onyx
