It doesn’t make sense. One game, I’m paired with an Onyx, and platniums and we won but I don’t rank up. The next game I’m fighting two Onyx and Diamonds and my rank gets tanked. Another game, I’m fighting all golds and won, but again don’t rank up. I’m not understanding how the ranking system got worse than before. I’m only Platinum 5 for goodness sake.
IMO it’s SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER… all of my matches have been amazing since this last update.
I’m playing the skills I should be playing against and it’s very close matches that go down to the wire…this update resolved a lot of the issues I was having with MM.

I’d like to understand the ranking better.
I am also plat 5,although I think I’m plat 4 now. I seem to rank down a lot quicker then rank up.
I’m guessing I’ve hit my level cap and probably won’t get higher than plat 5, especially as a loss has more impact on my levelling progress.
Ya so every since the change I’m diamond 2 in open play and I only play against full onyx players I’m so confused. Like 1700 plus onyx please explain how this is good. I’m atleast diamond 6 in solo but still. I don’t think I should be matching against 1700 plus onyx players. Funny thing I go positive and do well every game but the ones I win I don’t even move up anymore lol. You would think that would be a priority fix but at this point I don’t think they care.
