can we do something about losing your rank when you lose a game due to two or one of teammates leaving early on it’s a bit frustrating when every other match people leave and it throws everything downhill without the additional bodies out there the enemies start locking down the map to point of spawn killing cause they have full map control
This will never be changed due to the fact that players would exploit it. You don’t actually lose as much as you would if you had a loss with a full team.

It’s just super annoying .the reason I took a long hiatus from halo mp (which is favorite game) id like to say I’m a definite above average player averaging most kills hell even coming back I got massive amount of kills( at cost of more deaths than needed but not negative kd) and still seem to lose games and ranked that are unnessecary due to kids leaving

I used to do this but all the bs and drama with company’s and clans I’m 24 and have a solid work life I don’t got time to deal with that childish crap of people arguing get one this time or blah blah

Yep lol. Makes me cringe hard as I’m sitting in a custom game lobby and clan members are bickering or I’m in a match with a clan whos missing one person and they’re all spewing clan related drivel. Makes me face palm and shake my head lol. Then theres the inevitable post match message “Hey wanna join my clayyyn?”

Everyone create a Trash account each.
Party up so that three players play their main account, one play with their Trash account.
When things go sour, the player with the Trash account quit out.
Switch player with trash account, rinse and repeat. Main accounts aren’t really able to rank down.

The best is when they message you that or party/game invite cause you did good in a game and they all went negative like no I’m not carrying you

No matter what some kind of bs will happen you already have people one opposing team that’ll send you a party inv and ask you to boost there kd but at least it’s better to not go down in rank with quitters than idiots boosting
edit so to keep main rank high you would have to have some type of skill plat and up it gets harder even if you never go down you won’t go up either

Do you want an easily exploitable system?
You think it’s unfair to go down in Rank when someone else screws over the team and in most cases cause you to lose, and as such you should not go down in rank.
On the other hand, then winning against a team with at least one member down shouldn’t allow you to rank up. Because by the same principle that one team lost, the other team won, and if some players are not allowed to rank down, then the ones qualified to rank up shouldn’t rank up either.

Halfway right. You don’t incur the quit ban penalty if you quit after someone else has already left however you will lose CSR equivalent to losing the match.
There has to be a penalty of some sort for leaving otherwise ranks would be inflated with people playing, then quitting when they lose.

Ahhh, thank you for the clarification then. I wasn’t exactly sure how much penalization came out of quitting matches after those changes took place.

You 100% have to go down in rank even if someone quits, because if you don’t like others have said, people will exploit it.
No offense, but kills means nothing for your Rank. Tell me, who is more important on the team… someone who goes 20-5-14 with 1800 damage? Or someone who goes 6-16-9 with 2300 damage? One could easily argue that person who got a ton of Assists and more damage was. You win as a team, you lose as a team. The day when Halo changes this, is the day I stop playing it online… Or at the very least Ranked.
I’m pretty sure 343I has said you don’t go down as much if someone quits but still go down. I agree it’s frustrating but that’s the chances one takes when not communicating, someone not willing to ever “party up” and playing with randoms. If this isn’t the case then I would suggest to 343I they should just have it that way, but a person always has to lose something in a lost.
