Ranked in this game is infuriating!

I played a lot of Halo 5 and know that the game was described as ‘sweaty’ but Infinite is far worse in my opinion.

Unbalanced teams - why are Silver ranks playing with Diamond players?

CSR makes no sense - if we lose a game but I’m easily top of my team why am I losing CSR while other people in my losing team, who performed worse than me, are gaining CSR?

Games starting 3v4 - I had this happen 4 times today. Game is starting up and I see that there are only 3 Spartans in my team, sure enough the other team has 4 players. Not only that but when we inevitably lose I lose a load of CSR. How is that in any way fair? Can’t the game tell that you’re a player down? Surely it doesn’t still expect me to win at such a disadvantage. If you have one less player and lose you should not lose any CSR.

Constant loses - the game is supposed to be using SBMM right, so surely a player shouldn’t lose game after game after game in a row? Like if the SBMM is working well then shouldn’t it generally be one or two wins/losses in a row rather than 5+ straight losses? If I’m losing 5+ games in a row then surely the SBMM just isn’t working correctly as it should start giving me some easier games to balance things out again?

I dunno, maybe I’m just awful at the game (I’m currently Plat 6 - although I was Diamond 1 before all of these losses today). I don’t remember Halo 5 being like this though. This game actually gives me rage lol

  1. If the people you are clicking on still have blue over their normal CSR that is showing how much they’ve gain that day so if you win 3 games and lose 1 you will still have a blue like looking like you’ve gain CSR.
  2. The silvers are likely smurfs that got MMR matched up with diamond players
  3. I think the game primarily matches people up with ranks considered over SKBMM unless there is a serious outlier
  • it’s odd your losing CSR in 3v4s

Ah I didn’t realise the blue/red showed what you’d gained or lost for the day, I thought it was per game - that makes more sense.

Is it normal to lose so many games in a row though? I get you can’t win every game but it seems odd that the game would allow a player to just lose 5+ games straight without putting them in a more favourable match.

Maybe I should just quit and take a break after losses.
I’m also likely just rubbish at the game - but why am I ranked Plat 6/Diamond 1 if I’m so bad.

I can’t even imagine how bad bronze players must be - is anyone actually bronze?
