I’m not the only one that is aware of this. The real trick isn’t getting a game where you have evenly matched teams, its getting a game where your bullets work. Because most games they don’t, at all. Then you’ll suddenly get a game where your shots actually register and feel like your luck is turning around.
Then the next match you can’t even 4 shot someone standing still because they were standing still about 5 inches to the left of where they’re standing still.
Its impressively bad and at this point I feel like its a feature, not a bug.
I feel like it’s pretty inconsistent as well. I’m not anywhere close to an Onyx level player and i obviously won’t win every gunfight but sometimes things that shouldnt happen do happen and they can turn the favor of the game; this is when it’s most frustrating.
In response to the above, I’ve been low Onyx in crossplay after every reset (with the exception of this past reset, as I’m still unranked due to the fact I stopped playing ranked and now have stopped playing entirely). To your point, it doesn’t matter if your Gold or Onyx or any other level. Generally, even the most casual gamer knows when they are hitting someone or not. The desync issues in this game are astoundingly bad. I’ve posted and commented half a dozen times about this, and while I have stopped playing due to the severity of the issue, I will still post until 343 corrects this. They made an awesome game, and yes content and other issues are present, but I have never seen a triple A game of this caliber have such a massively important foundational issue like this before. It makes it impossible to know if you actually kill someone legitimately due to your skill, or if they were being plagued by desync themselves at the time. Not to mention that rockets, grenades, melees all not working properly and dying well behind a wall 50% of the time is downright maddening.
