Ranked Halo 3 Throwback playlist

who else would want this? Current playlists seem to be dwindling in pop lately, and I always found games super quick in the H3 throwback playlist when it was available. The maps are too good to not use in matchmaking. I say throw in the anniversary forge maps too: rat race, damnnation, hang em high.

All these maps make for great competition and they’re a breath of fresh air compared to the current maps in the Slayer and arena rotations.

Ya I know, MCC exists, but when I play the H3 throwback playlist in Halo 5, I don’t have to worry about the myriad of problems the MCC games have, such as meleeing someone in the back and doing no damage.

I say don’t include rat race and hang em high as I hate them, but thats just me

I would have wholeheartedly agreed, but the BR was pretty important in H3 even though players didn’t always start with one. However, the BR is so broken and useless in its current state in H5 (yes, wayyy more than the one in H3), that I stopped playing the throwback after a couple of matches and never touched it again.

Old Halo 3 yes, but the MCC Halo 3 BR is so inconsistent and ridiculous sometimes, I’m gonna say that the BR in Halo 5s H3 throwback playlist is more enjoyable to use because headshots are actually consistent and the hit reception isn’t garbage like H3 MCC.

What i really want in Halo 5 is a ranked playlist, or even social, that revolves around classic movement. I’m sick of sprint, clamber, and Spartan abilities. They’re obnoxious, loud, annoying, and they just ruin the maps.

Yesteday i I was playing on Truth and 3 ppl on the other team quit, so I just walked around and appreciated the map for the rest of the game. There were so many details and sounds and just atmospheric features I noticed that I never had before simply because in a match you’re always forced to sprint right past everything.

It’s too whimsical for me to support making it super sweaty. Hard no from me.

I don’t think it would be that sweaty, but it would definitely be a hard change for a lot of good H5 players. IMO too many people depend on the advanced movement and spartan abilities in Halo 5 in order to be successful in the game. H3 throwback is a good way of exploiting different skills in order to win. Removing spartan charge and ground pound from Arena seems to be a very well liked change, so the introduction of a playlist that takes it a step further would be well received as well.

I would love it. I have friends who only return to Halo 5 when the Halo 3 playlist is up.

It’s one of the few playlists where I don’t get paired against onyx/champions every game, so I’m hesitant to wish it ranked because it’s my last bastion of casual gameplay in H5. I would still play it a lot if it was ranked though. I would just enjoy it ever so slightly less
