I have talked to many people in whiskey clan and just many people in general and we all agreed that Grifball should be a ranked playlist. The reason being is because many of us with the hidden Rankings are already Diamonds, Onyx, and Champions (Me being a Diamond 4 in Grifball) and it would also be nice to see some API so people can add leaderboards for it and we can have fun and be competitive. I wanna hear if you guys think it should be ranked or not to see if enough people want it as ranked and not Social

Griffball has always been a gametype to relax and have fun in, not to be super sweaty, we already have many playlists that serve that role, the only time griffball was ranked was ONCE in H3 and it was a total disaster as people began to play super sweaty and started to pad their Ranked K/D’s by spawntrapping, I should know I was one of them and got a few killionaires for ranked because of Griffball.
Tho I must admit id love to get a good team together to win more often as it seems most of the times I have to be the one trying to score in order to win because my teammates are too busy running around without any strategy whatsoever, but thats part of griffball.

That’s what they want is to spawntrap and camp to boost stats, its what they do all day in warzone and make people want to quit playing the game lol.

True, plus its easy to have a positive K/D in Griffball and rack multikill medals (I already have 1 killionaire thanks to Griffball) I think GB should stay social, as I mentioned before, we already have enough Ranked playlists.
I bet when Infection comes out they will also want it to be ranked.

well seeing as it’s already ranked it’s pointless that 343 doesn’t show the rankings, also sweaty griffball makes for a fun competitive game, and you’ll see a lot more awesome plays coming out if people are trying harder.

I don’t believe so which I think is pretty ridiculous. I was trying to find a friends ranking on waypoint for grifball but couldnt because his top social was already BTB and he was a champion #121. So I couldnt review his Grifball rank. They really need to fix that

Hmm it is annoying knowing they’re there but being unable to see them. On Halo Tracker I’m able to see my social ranks from the pre-season but not from any other season.
It’s a difficult thing to discuss because for many people like me, Grifball is a competitive game. I’ve played on Pro Grifball teams and I know a lot of the community and I think they would like it ranked as well. However, I know the rest of Halo players see Grifball as a casual game to mess around in. I almost wish there were both ranked and unranked versions of the playlist.
