I can’t believe ranked challenges were brought back into the game. There should not be challenges for ranked. I understand that ranks were just reset and many people would be jumping back in but many of us like to stay as far away from ranked as we can. It is a completely different feel from casual play and while I may often be up at the top of the table in casual I am constantly bottom in ranked and that only hurts my teammates. A lot of players don’t like ranked and the people who do like ranked shouldn’t be penalized because people like me are forced to play. Its no fun to be forced to do something that results in me being yelled at constantly for not knowing the diamond/onyx standard playstyle for oddball. I am a casual player who likes to do the challenges, not a competitive ranked player. Let those people have their spot, let people like me who play for fun have our fun in our spots.

The good thing about ranked is the games are more closely balanced than social. So if you are doing badly, rest easy knowing the enemy team have a player of your ability, or your teammates are higher skill than the enemy team to compensate for you. Really it might just be your team letting you down! Even if you are the one going negative, it’s still a team game.
You should be able to play ranked and get games around your own skill level, which would hopefully be okay. Some games you will do well, and some not so much. I wouldn’t fret the strategy too much, most people outside of Onyx will be playing a completely different way to the meta strategies, just have some fun with it.
Having challenges related to quickplay probably feels the same for you as it does for me when I get a challenge that requires me to play Team Slayer or FFA. I hate those playlists.
Yes for sure. The only challenge that should be present in ranked is winning.
