I loved how Halo 3 had 3 very simple playlist groups.
Ranked Playlist
Social Playlist
7 on the 7th playlist
Now to me, and I dont know about you guys, thought this was the best way to separate playlists from each other. Assuming that 343i returns the 1-50 ranking system or something very similar, I believe this is the way to separate playlists for people.
For the competitive crowd, they can just simply go into the ranked playlist which would consist of Team Slayer, Team Snipers, Double Team, MLG, Lone Wolves, etc. so they can be happy about those choices.
For the casual crowd, they can just go into the social playlist if they feel like just having a good time whether by themselves, or with friends, family, etc. This playlist would consist of, Squad Slayer(5 player teams), Big Team Battle(this could prob go into ranked as well), Rumble Pit, Grifball, Action Sack, Objective, Multi Team, Living Dead, etc.
For the third playlist, instead of 7 on the 7th, maybe they can bring back Double EXP/Credits on weekends or something.
If 343i included this into Halo 4, it would really make navigating through each playlist a breeze and would also make everyone happy, competitive and casuals everywhere!
What are your thoughts? Should 343i include this same idea that Halo 3 had into Halo 4? Would it make it easier? Would it make you happy based on your gaming needs? Discuss.
Reach has a very convoluted list of playlists in my opinion. I think it would make it very easy for people(especially new players) to navigate the lists how Halo 3 had it set up.

I would be disapointed if it were Halo 3’s playlist, AhemIronyAhem
I hope that they do bring back the simple ranked and social playlists for Halo 4 because it was simple and it worked whereas reach has like 4 or 5 different playlists and it is just very unorganized.
The first halo game I played on Xbox Live was Halo 3 (I did play Halo’s CE and 2 before that, just not on live . . . yes I know CE didn’t have live) and I found it simple and easy to navigate the playlists it had to offer.
I feel that Reach is too cluttered, and that instead of just having one “competetive” playlist they should seperate it into Social and Ranked again.
If this means the readdition of 1-50 skill levels that is fine with me.

Same here. It would be perfect for people that want to play competitively or people that just want to play for fun. It would make both parties happy so I don’t see what the problem would be.
Yeah, I hope that Halo 4 has both social and competitive playlists. This will split up the people that want to just have fun and those who want to play to win.
