Ranked and Social Playlist

I think 343i should implement a ranked and social playlist just like Halo 3 did. That way both demographics are happy, and the game will last for the next half decade just like Halo 3. It boggles my mind why 343i decided against this. I just don’t understand and I’m devastated that Ive waited years to figure out if Halo 4 will bring back what was great about Halo just to figure out that they aren’t listening to the fan base that made Halo so popular to begin with.

cause they dont care about the competitive community, give it a month and black ops 2 will take all of halo 4 players looking for competitive play. i dont like cod but they just took a huge step forward while halo 4 took a massive step back

Unfortunately, you are right. I hope 343i is listening and taking necessary steps

I will be shocked if they put it in Halo 5. They obviously don’t give a f***.

Its gonna be a sad day when I go to game and buy black ops 2 :frowning:

of course it will be in halo 5… they put one in black ops 2

its looking that way :frowning: black ops took such a huge step forward by impletmenting a ranking system AND gamebattles into their game. it could have the worst graphics, worst gameplay and i still would have fun because of those additions

I think that this would be the best idea, but some people seem to be against it.

and why that is i dont understand. what halo 4 offers right now is social gameplay. if people dont want to play in ranked games, they dont have to. its optional. i dont understand why they are trying to hard to discredit a ranking system that will add replay value to the game and keep make halo have a competitive aspect. Black ops 2 is going to destroy halo if they dont change this horrible mistake

What’s sad is that I haven’t seen a single decent argument even attempted against the idea of including ranked and social lists.

There’s arguments that can be made against things like visible global ranking etc, but not against the inclusion of a split in playlist between ranked and social.

If you include ranked and social lists, everybody wins. If you don’t, competitive players lose. I don’t care if there’s visible global rank or not, but I want to be able to have playlists where guests aren’t allowed, where every player is guaranteed to be around the same skill, and where it is significant if you win or lose. Reach had nothing like that, and now it looks like Halo 4 won’t either.

I’d give it time. I’m sure 343 is listening and watching the forums and might have a title update soon.

Perfectly said. I don’t see the problem including it. It will only make an already good game great
